Welcome to WGC London Seniors

All competitions are open to both men and women. Men play using the Blue tee slope and stroke indexes. Women play using the Blue tee slope and indexes but tee off from the Green Tees. 

Alex Laing Greensomes
18-hole pairs competition. Both players drive then alternate shots from favoured drive. Minimum 7 drives each.

60% of lowest + 40% of highest handicaps. 

Alex Wilkinson Trophy

14-hole individual stableford. Best 3 cards from 6 count. Played over the winter months.

95% allowance adjusted for 14 holes.

Bill Stirling Trophy

Pairs matchplay played over top 14 holes- 90% of difference in handicaps from lowest handicap player.

Cansey Shield
18-hole aggregate score stableford - Mixed pairs - 95% handicap allowance.

Doughty Putter
18-hole individual stableford - 95% handicap allowance. 

Effor Foursomes
18-holes pairs foursomes, 50% combined handicaps. Alternate shots. One player driving even holes the other driving odd holes.

Geoff Cole Memorial Cup
18-holes Texas-scramble stableford - teams of 3 - 1/6 combined handicap. minimum 5 drives each. 

King Shield
18-hole individual stableford using just 2 clubs and a putter, - full handicap allowance. This is a non-qualifying competition for handicap.

Mixed Greensomes
18-hole pairs competition. Both players drive then alternate shots from favoured drive. Minimum 7 drives each. Handicap 60% of lowest + 40% of highest handicap.

18-hole singles matchplay - full difference in handicaps

Presidents Cup
18-hole individual stableford - 95% handicap allowance. 

Roberts Quaich

18-hole individual stableford - 95% handicap allowance.

Stan Suggate Trophy

Awarded to the champion senior with points being awarded for the four main singles events; Presidents Cup, Roberts Quaich, King Shield, Doughty Putter. 15 points for the winner decreasing to one point for 15th.

Tail End Charlie Cup

18-hole individual stableford eclectic - played over 6 rounds during the summer months. Handicap 95%.

Vets Charity Bowls

Pairs better ball stableford competition played over 18 holes. Handicap 85% allowance.
